meet Jose Landoni

José Landoni was born in Río Tercero, Argentina, and holds a degree in Sculpture from the School of Arts at the University of Córdoba. He lived and worked in New York City for several years, becoming internationally recognized before returning to Córdoba, where he continues to live and work.

His sculpture is geometric — austere, precise, and quietly monumental. Working in materials ranging from Carrara marble to reclaimed wood, Landoni builds forms from repeating cellular sequences and carefully proportioned volumes, each piece held in a state of balance and structural harmony. His practice spans drawing, carving, and assemblage, with a body of work that stretches back to his first solo exhibition in 1987.

His exhibition history includes shows at Centro Cultural Recoleta in Buenos Aires, Museo Emilio Caraffa in Córdoba, The Scene Gallery in New York, and Galería Artespacio in Santiago, among others.
